Banking secrecy: What Ukrainians face when they open the 'National Cashback' card.

Ukrainians can get bonuses for buying domestic goods through the 'National Cashback' card. According to the newspaper 'Slovo i Sprava', you can receive 'one thousand Zelensky' on this card since December. However, to get bonuses, you need to agree to the disclosure of financial transactions and provide payment information, which can raise concerns.
To participate in the cashback program, you need to open a special account at a bank and agree to the transfer of information about transactions from purchase cards. The Ministry of Economy believes that this does not violate banking secrecy, as the information is only used for crediting cashback and is not stored or disclosed.
The terms of the contract for maintaining the 'National Cashback' can be requested at PrivatBank. According to the contract, the bank opens a special account and provides a card to receive financial support for the purchase of domestic goods. The contract terms may change, but the bank is obligated to inform the customer at least 30 days before the date of the changes. The customer has the right to refuse changes and terminate the contract without any cost.
