The check of Belarusian troops' readiness is part of the Kremlin's policy to create tension on the border of Ukraine with Belarus. This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD)."As of today, the main threat to Ukraine from Belarus is informational. With constant troop checks against the backdrop of militant statements from Belarusian officials, the Kremlin seeks to constantly escalate tension on the border and keep our forces in the Belarusian direction," the statement reads. The CCD notes that currently there are no forces at the Belarusian border capable of invading Ukraine.Recall that the Belarusian army started the next stage of checking the units and military parts on September 30. In particular, it concerns the readiness and capability to perform tasks by the military units and subdivisions of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces.Additionally, the self-proclaimed president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated that the country must be able to respond to threats from its adversaries, hence it is necessary to continue strengthening the military potential.Earlier, the self-proclaimed president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated that the use of nuclear weapons would lead to the beginning of World War III.Notably, the Belarusian volunteer regiment named after Kastus Kalinouski, which fights within the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has been recognized as a "terrorist organization" in Belarus.
