Apple prices hit records: how the cost of Ukrainians' favorite fruit has changed over the year.


Apple prices have reached 70 hryvnias per kilogram
According to data from the Minfin portal, the price of apples in Ukraine has currently reached a record 70 hryvnias per kilogram. This popular fruit culture continues to increase its price, astonishing consumers.
Information from May 2025 indicates that apple prices have shown extraordinary growth, exceeding all analysts' forecasts. The prices for this fruit have reached a level that forces people to reevaluate their expenses and habits in choosing this product.
As noted: 'If in April 2025 Ukrainian apples cost about 46.94 hryvnias per kilogram, then in May the price rose to 52.99 hryvnias, which is an increase of 12% in just a month.'
The price of the Aydared apple variety has also significantly increased. If in April this variety cost 50.96 hryvnias per kilogram, then in Auchan stores by May the price increased to 69.90 hryvnias, showing a growth of 37%. Compared to the previous year, the price of Aydared has risen by 148%.
Consumers were recently warned about a possible increase in prices for their favorite fruits, which are becoming even more expensive and less accessible for many people.
