Days of Odessa in Rome and Venice - What is known so far.


Mayor of Odessa Gennadiy Trukhanov decided to elevate Ukrainian culture to a new level by planning cultural events in Italian cities. He also seeks advice from the mayor of Rome on creating a body for managing cultural heritage in his city. Such ambitions were announced by Trukhanov during a conference in Italy.
Events in Italy
Gennadiy Trukhanov announced the preparation of 'Days of Odessa' in Rome and Venice, which will be an important step in promoting Ukrainian culture abroad. He stated that the events promise to be bright and memorable for the residents and guests of the cities.
'These will be the days of Odessa - Ukrainian Odessa. I do not want to reveal all the details yet, but I am sure it will be very interesting,'- the mayor said.
Managing Cultural Heritage
Admitting the absence of a body for managing cultural heritage in Odessa, Gennadiy Trukhanov plans to seek advice from the mayor of Rome. He believes that Italy's experience will help create its own structure for the preservation and management of culture in the city.
'We urgently need to create such a body. No Ukrainian city has the necessary experience yet, so I hope that the meeting with the mayor of Rome will allow us to acquire this valuable knowledge,'- the mayor explained.
The Ukrainian mayor of Odessa, Gennadiy Trukhanov, plans to hold cultural events in Italy and study the Italian experience in managing cultural heritage for further application in his city.
