Experts Named Russia's Key Advantages Against NATO.

Russia's Propaganda: Instruments and Countermeasures
Experts point to the successes of Russia's propaganda campaign against NATO countries. In particular, Berkeley professor Yuriy Gorodnichenko and the scientific editor of Vox Ukraine, Ilona Solohub, explained two main tools of Russian propaganda - 'magical thinking' and 'learned helplessness'. According to them, the former involves people easily believing in imperceptible changes, such as automatic problem-solving or the disappearance of troubles. The latter encourages inaction, convincing that no one can change anything or that everything is controlled by forces beyond human capabilities.
Previously, the radicalized authorities in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics used terror to force nations into submission. Now, Russia, utilizing social media and 'troll factories', can influence thousands of citizens, sending them to war and assisting pro-Russian populists in gaining power in various countries.
Analysts recommend countermeasures such as banning Russian media, imposing sanctions on the Russian economy, and funding Ukraine with frozen assets. They also urge citizens to support Ukraine through donations and support for independent media.
