An expert in nuclear energy explained what will remain of the Zaporizhzhia NPP after de-occupation.

The expert warns about looting during the retreat from the Zaporizhzhia NPP
Nuclear energy and safety expert Olha Kosharyna expressed concern about the possibility of looting during the retreat of the occupiers from the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. According to her, there is already information about the removal of equipment by Russians from the station. Additionally, training for operators on simulators located on the premises of the NPP was planned prior to the occupation. The expert claims that the Russian military will also replace important elements of the station.
Kosharyna also expressed confidence regarding the mining of key pipelines by the Russians and the associated threat of explosion in the event of de-occupation. She reminded about the scattering of 'butterfly mines' around the station, which has caused the explosion of wild animals. Earlier, the IAEA replaced observers at the Zaporizhzhia NPP without agreement from Ukraine, which caused a protest from Ukraine.
