The Leader of Transnistria Reacted to the Proposal to Purchase Gas Through Moldova.

The Leader of Transnistria Demands Maia Sandu Ensure Gas Supply
Vadim Krasnoselsky, the leader of the unrecognized Transnistria, addressed the President of Moldova Maia Sandu regarding the critical situation with natural gas supply in the region.
In his message via messenger, he emphasized the readiness of the Transnistrian side to purchase gas through JSC 'Moldovagaz', which, according to the Moldovan authorities, has a monopoly on such supplies.
'We are acting in the interests of citizens who are currently freezing in their apartments, in the interests of the residents of social institutions, in the interests of enterprises that are idle due to lack of gas supply,' underscored Krasnoselsky.
According to him, on January 18, 'Tiraspoltransgaz' sent an official letter to 'Moldovagaz' requesting an urgent determination of the mechanism for concluding the agreement and the order of actions. However, as of January 20, no response had been received.
Krasnoselsky calls on the Moldovan side to refrain from politicizing the issue and to ensure gas supply to Transnistria, reminding President Sandu of her public promise. 'To fulfill the conditions, it is necessary to know them,' he emphasizes in his address.
The situation remains tense, as the absence of gas supply affects not only household consumers but also the operations of social institutions and industrial enterprises in the region.
Earlier, the EU urged Transnistria to accept energy aid from Moldova.
