'Kyivstar' has approached the purchase of Uklon: transaction amount.

Kyivstar has filed an application to acquire the Uklon service
The telecommunications company 'Kyivstar' has filed an application with the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine regarding its intention to acquire the Uklon service, which is a market leader in taxi services in Ukraine. This was reported to the Ukrainian edition of Forbes by the Antimonopoly Committee.
According to Forbes Ukraine, the valuation of the Uklon company is estimated at $40-80 million.
'Uklon has an interesting history and unique founders. Among them are Serhiy Smust, Vitaliy Dyatlenko, Dmytro, and Viktoriya Dubrovskyi. The latter two have stepped away from the direct management of the company but remain in its supervisory board,' it is stated in the message.
'Kyivstar' belongs to the telecommunications group VEON, which is registered in the Netherlands. The company has announced the relocation of its headquarters to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
It is worth noting that the VEON group owns several mobile operators worldwide. In 2023, they sold 'Vimpelcom' in Russia to local management.
Interestingly, the largest shareholder of VEON is a group of Russian entrepreneurs 'Alfa Group'. After sanctions were imposed against one of their executives, they returned from Great Britain to Russia.
It is also worth mentioning that 'Kyivstar' has had legal troubles. In 2023, a court seized a batch of shares belonging to structures associated with Friedman’s LetterOne company, but this seizure was later lifted.
The press service of 'Kyivstar' stated that the company is not associated with Mikhail Friedman, as his shares in the company are indirect ownership, and he does not participate in its management.
It has also been reported that Ukraine will introduce a new tax on taxi services, including Uklon, Bolt, Glovo, and others.
