Press secretary of the Russian president Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov, stated that a month-long moratorium on strikes against energy infrastructure has already passed. It is noted that Putin agreed to the proposal of US President Donald Trump for a 30-day mutual cessation of strikes by Russia and Ukraine on energy infrastructure. However, just an hour later, Russian troops violated this truce and struck a critical facility in Slovyansk. Meanwhile, US special representative Steve Vitkoff rejects accusations against Russia for violating the non-aggression agreement regarding Ukrainian energy infrastructure after the Trump-Putin conversation. For his part, Peskov claims that Russia has the right not to adhere to the truce concerning energy facilities. He stated that the Ukrainian army continuously violates the moratorium on the shelling of energy facilities, ignoring commands from the authorities, so Russia also has the right to act at its discretion. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stated that Russia has violated the truce concerning energy facilities over 30 times. They regularly send relevant facts to the capitals of partner countries and the headquarters of international organizations. According to Foreign Ministry spokesperson Georgiy Tikhy, as a result of shelling, a transformer in Mykolaiv region and some districts of Kherson were damaged, but the overall number of attacks on energy facilities did not decrease. In a statement by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, it is noted that the Russian Federation has reduced shelling of energy facilities but continues to attack civilian infrastructure.
Attacks with drones, missiles, including ballistic ones, continue; they have not decreased. This cannot be called a truce, as the enemy continues to kill civilians
