The commander of the marines named three major problems in the military.

The brigade commander spoke about problems in the military
Serhiy Shatalov, who is the commander of the 37th separate marine brigade, stated in his interview with 'Hromadske' about three main issues in the Ukrainian military.
The first problem is a lack of personnel. The second is problems with drones, although the situation has been slightly improved. There was previously a program called 'Army of Drones' which supplied the best brigades with powerful drones, but it has now been discontinued. The third problem is the low quality of training of personnel.
Moreover, Shatalov claims that he sees nothing criminal in withdrawing from positions when it is truly necessary.
According to him, the brigade commander is responsible for a specific territory, and his location 100, 30, or 25 meters does not have a significant impact on the overall situation on the battlefield. He asserts that withdrawing 150 meters is not a criminal act. At the same Time, Shatalov notes that there are commanders who are afraid to report losses of positions.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the capture of the city of Toretsk in Donetsk region, but the Reuters agency notes that for the Russians, Toretsk is a strategic point along with other centers such as Kramatorsk and Konstantynivka. Analysts of the war in Ukraine emphasize that this capture may complicate the logistics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in much of Donbas.
