A citizen of Egypt surrendered to captivity in the Toretsk direction, recruited by Russia.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine report that a citizen of Egypt, who fought on the side of the Russian military, has surrendered to them. This information was made public by the press service of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign.
On one of the directions last year, fighters encountered attacks by the occupiers resembling battles with the private military company 'Wagner'. However, the losses and the number of attackers changed. This is evidenced by the latest attack.
In bad weather, the occupiers managed to sneak up to the positions of Ukrainian soldiers, but they were met with gunfire. Most of the attackers were destroyed, and one who surrendered was clearly explained by the fighters through gestures due to his ignorance of the Ukrainian language.

The rest of the occupiers tried to escape or hide, but they were found and destroyed. This is not the first case when Ukrainian soldiers took enemies captive who turned out to be Egyptians.
According to information, Russia has been recruiting hundreds of residents from Yemen to fight against Ukraine, which indicates strengthening ties between the Kremlin and the Houthi groups.
