In Vinnytsia region, a drunk driver fatally hit a woman: details of the tragedy.


In the village of Yaryshiv, Mohyliv-Podilskyi district of Vinnytsia region, a road traffic accident occurred resulting in a person's death. This was reported by the main department of the National Police in Vinnytsia region.
The driver's breath test showed a blood alcohol content of 2.02 permille. The vehicle has been placed in the impound lot.
According to reports, a 35-year-old driver of a Peugeot car hit a woman who was crossing the road in an unregulated area. The woman sustained injuries that led to her death.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this traffic accident for violations of road safety rules or the operation of vehicles by persons who are under the influence of alcohol.
It is reminded that on January 19, another traffic accident occurred in the town of Shpykiv, Tulchyn district, resulting in the death of one of the passengers in the vehicle.
Additionally, on January 16, a 22-year-old driver of a Mercedes car was detained in Vinnytsia for hitting two girls at a pedestrian crossing in the city center.
