The Netherlands is preparing a new support package for Ukraine worth €6 billion.


The Dutch ambassador to Ukraine, Alle Dorhout, stated that the Netherlands is providing financial assistance to Ukraine amounting to €3.8 billion and plans to allocate an additional €6 billion. The main priority of this assistance is energy.
The diplomat noted that the Netherlands has already made significant efforts to support Ukraine and is constantly seeking new ways to help. In addition to financial assistance, the Netherlands also provides moral, humanitarian, economic, and military support. To date, €3.8 billion in military assistance has already been provided, but another €6 billion is planned to be allocated.
The ambassador emphasized that the fight against Russian aggression is not only in Ukraine's interests but also in Europe's interests. He also highlighted the importance of Ukraine's accession to the EU from a security perspective.
However, Dorhout also noted that after the war ends, the EU will have long-term relations with Ukraine, including economic support and reconstruction.
