Controversial Deputy from Russia Talks About Expectations from the New Head of the IOC.


Famous member of the State Duma of Russia and Olympic champion Svetlana Zhurova commented on the new head of the International Olympic Committee, Kirsty Coventry. This was reported by 'Glavkom'.
«Coventry has already spoken about her plans. But it is hard to imagine that she will take on the responsibility and say what fate our athletes will have. For now, only a working group is being discussed that will address these issues. There are certain hopes, but also many questions. Bach did not have the task of restoring our rights. We will see how Coventry will manage. Only after that will dialogue be possible,» said Zhurova in her interview with Russian media.
