Vegetable prices continue to rise: Ukrainians compare prices for cabbage, onions, and carrots in supermarkets and markets.

The Ukrainian portal Minfin reported that prices for popular vegetables continue to rise in Ukraine. This price increase for basic vegetables like cabbage, onions, and carrots significantly impacts the budgets of Ukrainian citizens, especially those who use them for cooking dishes, including borscht. As of November 21, the prices for these vegetables in supermarkets and markets were as follows:
Young cabbage has risen from 62.72 UAH/kg to 70.52 UAH/kg, white cabbage from 30.38 UAH/kg to 32.22 UAH/kg, and onions increased from 31.38 UAH/kg to 39.99 UAH/kg. Bulb onions rose from 15.91 UAH/kg to 17.87 UAH/kg, and eggplant from 25.48 UAH/kg to 29.40 UAH/kg. Carrots have also increased from 21.46 UAH/kg to 31.52 UAH/kg.
Young cabbage can be purchased for prices ranging from 40 to 48 UAH per kilogram, carrots from 20 to 26 UAH per kilogram, and onions from 13 to 15 UAH per kilogram.
White cabbage can be bought for prices ranging from 40 to 45 UAH per kilogram, and young carrots from 35 to 45 UAH per kilogram. Onions cost between 25 to 30 UAH per kilogram.
It was also noted that supermarkets have set new prices for some other essential products, such as sugar, salt, and flour.
