On Wednesday, July 2, 2025, a meeting of the Synod of Bishops of the UGCC with Pope Leo XIV took place in the Vatican. 'Of course, in such important historical times, it is difficult to find hope for you and those entrusted to you,' the Pope noted. The head of the UGCC invited the Pope to visit Ukraine and expressed confidence in the prayers of Ukrainians. Pope Leo XIV also promised to pray for Ukraine and its people daily. The meeting between the Synod of Bishops of the UGCC and Pope Leo XIV took place on Wednesday in the Vatican. The Pope expressed support and best wishes to the Ukrainian people, emphasizing the importance of faith and hope in wartime conditions. He also urged the bishops to be servants of Christ for all in need of help and promised to pray for Ukraine daily.
