The Pension Fund of Ukraine explained the mechanism for transitioning from a service pension to an age pension.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine's office in Donetsk region clarified the procedure for transitioning from a service pension to an age pension for Ukrainian pensioners.
According to the current legislation 'On Mandatory State Pension Insurance', citizens of Ukraine have the opportunity to choose between different types of pension provision. If a person is entitled to several types of pensions, they can independently choose the most beneficial option.
Individuals receiving a service pension and working cannot simultaneously receive benefits. The ability to combine a pension and a salary arises only after the age pension is granted.
The transition from one type of pension to another occurs from the day of submission of the respective application to the Pension Fund. After the service pension is appointed, if the individual has not been working, the amount of payments when transitioning to an age pension remains unchanged.
Citizens can submit documents via the web portal of electronic services of the Pension Fund of Ukraine or personally apply to the service center without restrictions based on their place of residence or registration.
Earlier, Ukrainians were informed about how the state plans to double pensions and where it intends to get the necessary funds.
