Writer and Volunteer. Remembering Yevheniya Dukhopelnykova.


Ukrainians honored the memory of Yevheniya Dukhopelnykova - a volunteer and writer, who died on December 17. She was known for her involvement in the volunteer movement and was the author of the book 'Girls at War. The Journey of Dolboklyuy'. Unfortunately, Dukhopelnykova's death occurred as a result of an accident. She passed away in Odesa, where she was going to visit her comrade who was undergoing rehabilitation.
Dukhopelnykova was distinguished by her ability to empathize and provide assistance to soldiers and their families. Her 'war' began at Maidan in 2014 and lasted for 11 years. Her friends and colleagues describe her as honest, sincere, and talented. The book she left behind tells about how people in war are alive and possess emotions and impulsiveness.
Yevheniya's husband, Mykhailo Chernyk, continues to defend Ukraine while having two children. Events dedicated to the memory of Yevheniya Dukhopelnykova and other fallen heroes took place across the country, during which the entire nation fell silent.
