Ukraine's Resolution Condemning RF Aggression Has Support at the UN - Sybiha.


The Ukrainian resolution at the UN is in its final stages of registration
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha reported that Ukraine's resolution in the UN General Assembly is nearing completion of registration and has 56 co-sponsors.
'This is a significant number of like-minded states supporting the Ukrainian side, but it is primarily about principles, as the Ukrainian resolution is about supporting territorial integrity and sovereignty, international law, and the UN Charter,' noted the Foreign Minister during a speech at the 'Ukraine. Year 2025' Forum.
Furthermore, Sybiha stated that the USA plans to introduce its own resolution to the UNGA on the third anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The American and Ukrainian resolutions do not overlap, as the Ukrainian version emphasizes the anniversaries and the consistent position that has been reflected at the UN throughout this Time.
The message regarding this initiative was conveyed to Ukraine at the level of representatives in the UN.
Sybiha emphasized that the diplomatic process for international support of the resolution continues. He noted that in the past 36 hours he had conducted 22 phone calls, establishing many contacts. To make the appropriate decisions, it is essential to understand the position of the co-sponsors of the Ukrainian resolution.
Sybiha assured that Ukraine has strong support from its partners for the adoption of the resolution and informed that the document will be voted on in the General Assembly hall of the UN.
