According to official information from the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of October 25, Russian troops launched a massive attack on Ukraine. They used 63 strike drones and other drones of an unspecified type. The attacks were carried out from various directions - the cities of Oryol, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
The Ukrainian Air Force actively countered this threat, involving anti-aircraft missile forces, aviation, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces.
There is currently preliminary information that Ukrainian forces managed to shoot down 36 drones in various regions, including the Odessa, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Lviv, Rivne, and Poltava regions. Most of the drones were shot down in the Odessa and Kyiv regions.
There were also recorded losses from the Russian side - 16 drones were lost.
Recall that on the night of October 24 in Khmelnytskyi region, during an air raid alert, residents of the region heard explosions. The air defense forces were working, but there were still casualties and destruction in the Starokostiantyniv community. A hotel building was completely destroyed. Windows and panes in high-rise and private houses were also damaged.
