Russia's Strategy Regarding Ukraine

According to the report, Moscow is actively implementing a strategy to exhaust the Ukrainian state. This strategy involves undermining Ukraine's defense capability, demoralizing the population, and waiting for the moment when Western partners will reduce their support for Kyiv.

‘Putin almost certainly remains focused on victory in Ukraine, and his objectives have largely not changed since the beginning of the war: neutrality for Ukraine and further division of the Ukrainian state’

The intelligence agency predicts that without a negotiated settlement or significant support from the West, the situation on the battlefield in 2025 will favor Russia.

Casualties of Russian Forces

Despite the slowdown in the advance of Russian forces, the losses in personnel and equipment are significant. According to US intelligence, Russia has lost over 700,000 servicemen, including more than 170,000 dead. Additionally, 10,000 units of military equipment, including tanks and aircraft, have been destroyed.
