The governments of the USA and Japan plan to enhance the deterrence of strategic and nuclear threats and develop principles for this. This was reported by the Pentagon.
The governments of both countries are committed to strengthening deterrence to promote stability and prevent conflicts.
The Pentagon explained that the governments of the USA and Japan, within the framework of the Enhanced Deterrence Dialogue, have created Guidelines for this.
The Guidelines provide for the exchange of information at the strategic level for even greater cooperation in the matter of deterrence.
The U.S. Department of Defense noted that the Alliance will seek ways to achieve effective and reliable deterrence.
