Becoming 'temporary': important changes are being prepared for drivers in Ukraine.

Ukraine intends to introduce 'temporary' licenses for drivers.
The Cabinet of Ministers proposed a draft law that envisages changes in the conditions for issuing and renewing licenses. The main goal is to bring Ukrainian legislation in line with the standards of the European Union.
The validity period of driver's licenses will be limited depending on the type of vehicle. Even if the license has not expired, drivers will have to reissue it after the expiration date.
For drivers with a significant number of violations, passing theoretical and practical exams will be mandatory.
These innovations aim to enhance road safety and monitor the health of drivers.
Document updates and additional expenses
- Drivers will have to replace their driver's licenses more frequently every 10-15 years.
- Drivers are required to undergo regular medical examinations.
- Individuals with significant violations will be checked for qualifications.
These new rules will contribute to overall road safety and the quality of the driving workforce.
Previously, certain actions were prohibited while driving.
