The man has served in the Ukrainian army since 2014 and was indeed an active participant in the frontline events. He sustained injuries and trauma while carrying out combat missions. And not just physical injuries, but also psychological ones, from the experience of his own losses and the suffering of his comrades.

Since his family also suffered from the war - his children could not study normally due to the absence of their father, he decided that the Russian Federation should be held accountable for this and provide compensation.

Judgment of the Court

The court ruled that the Russian Federation indeed must compensate the Ukrainian serviceman for the damages and awarded compensation in the amount of one million hryvnias. Thus, the warrior will receive at least financial compensation for all the hardships he has endured.
