Sweden allocates significant air defense package for Ukraine.

Sweden invests $113 million in Ukraine's air defense shield
On the anniversary of the full-scale invasion, Sweden announced a new large-scale defense package for Ukraine.
Stockholm will invest 1.2 billion Swedish kronor (approximately 113 million US dollars) to strengthen Ukraine's air defense shield, reports Svenska Dagbladet.
The Swedish government has instructed the Defense Materiel Administration to acquire two key systems for Ukraine: Robot 70 and Tridon Mk2. Both systems are critical for countering Russian attacks.
'On this anniversary, we can announce the procurement of air defense systems worth a total of 1.2 billion Swedish kronor to be transferred to Ukraine. Given the increasing intensity of Russian missile attacks, drone strikes, and bombings, there is an urgent need for Ukraine for air defense means,' the post states.
Experts note the special effectiveness of Tridon Mk2 in combating massive drone and missile attacks - tactics actively used by the Russian army. Robot 70, which has undergone numerous upgrades, has proven itself to be a reliable air defense system.
The aid package also includes additional anti-aircraft missiles compatible with systems already used by Ukrainian forces and portable air defense systems for infantry units.
'By investing in Ukraine's defense, we invest in our own security,' emphasize Swedish officials.
Together with neighboring countries, Sweden ranks among the top ten largest global donors of military aid to Ukraine.
