Russian tankers are looking for new flags to bypass sanctions.

Russian oil tankers will be forced to change flags due to the pressure of sanctions from the United States and the United Kingdom. According to Bloomberg, the Barbados ship registry will require 46 vessels to remove the country's flag due to UK sanctions. Of these vessels, 14 are also subject to US sanctions. Additionally, the Panama ship registry is removing 68 vessels from its list, which are also subject to US sanctions.
This has a negative impact on the Russian logistics system that facilitates the transportation of oil and military machinery for Russia. Although all ships will receive new flags, this is yet another step towards limiting Russian exports.
Replacing the Barbadian flag poses a significant challenge for Russian shipping, as the Barbados ship registry is one of the most authoritative ship registries in the world.
