The coach of the Czech national team noticed a strange thing in the game against Ukraine.

The head coach of the Czech national team Ivan Hasek spoke to the media after the match of the 2nd round of the group stage of the Nations League 2024/2025 against Ukraine (3:2).
The game was tough as the Ukrainian national team's fans were intensely supporting their team.
At times it felt like we were playing away rather than at home," said Hasek.
Recall that the Ukrainian national team suffered its second defeat in the Nations League 2024/25 - in an away match, they lost to the Czech Republic 2:3.
There was great dedication from my players, so I am satisfied. Yes, in the last minutes of the match the tension near our goal was high. I would even say - very high. The opponent created many chances, and we need to analyze these episodes well," added Ivan Hasek.
With the Czech national team, which the day before was heavily defeated by Georgia (1:4), Ukrainians met for the third Time in official matches. Both previous encounters took place in the 2018 Nations League and ended with minimal victories for the "blue-yellows".
Tournament table
- Georgia - 6 points (goal difference 5:1)
- Albania - 3 points (goal difference 2:2)
- Ukraine - 0 points (goal difference 3:5)
- Czech Republic - 3 points (goal difference 4:6)
As you know, the Ukrainian national team started the new season of the Nations League with a painful home defeat. Despite territorial advantage and several dangerous moments near the opponent's goal, the "blue-yellows" conceded two goals in the second half and could not maintain the winning score opened by Yukhym Konoplya.
Recall that the youth national team of Ukraine achieved a comeback victory in the qualifiers for Euro-2025. In the seventh match, the Ukrainians defeated Serbia with a score of 2:1.
