Three Ukrainians Detained in the Marmaros Mountains in Romania
Three Ukrainians got stuck in the Marmaros mountains in Romania, stating that they were exhausted, hypothermic, and without food. A rapid response group, including border police and rescuers, was dispatched for their rescue. This operation became one of the most complicated due to challenging weather conditions and the configuration of the terrain.
On December 25, the three Ukrainians were found alive. They were discovered in a dangerous gorge. One of them sustained injuries from a falling rock, while the other two suffered from mild hypothermia. All men were taken to the hospital.
Authorities stated that they would continue legal steps to allow these citizens to remain in Romania.
A Tourist Wandered Through the Carpathians for Ten Days
It was also reported earlier that in the Transcarpathian region, a tourist who wandered through the Carpathians for ten days was found. He was discovered in the Bolotyn Grun area of the Rakhiv district. The tourist was fed, given hot tea, and treated for wounds. He was then taken to Bohdan and handed over to medical staff. Subsequently, the victim was hospitalized at the Rakhiv district hospital.
