Trudeau called Trump's tariffs 'very foolish' and imposed a 25% tariff on American goods.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made sharp critical remarks about the tariffs imposed by the Trump administration, calling them 'very unreasonable'. He assured that Canada is not going to back down in the fight against such measures. According to these tariffs, Canada imposed a 25% tariff on products from the U.S., and also plans to impose tariffs on other goods. Trudeau stated that the U.S. has started a trade war with its closest partner and ally, while constantly claiming positive cooperation with Russia. He urged Trump to work together to ensure the well-being of North Americans. Trudeau also accused the Trump administration of sabotaging its own program, which was supposed to start a new 'golden age' for the U.S. He reacted to the introduction of tariffs by stating that Canada will not become a state of the U.S., and this will harm both countries.
Trudeau expects to meet with Trump regarding the tariffs.
