In Chile, two fans died near the stadium before the Copa Libertadores match.

Tragedy before the Copa Libertadores match
During the Copa Libertadores match between 'Colo-Colo' and 'Fortaleza' in Chile, a tragedy occurred. Two fans died when a group of supporters attempted to break into the stadium. They knocked down a fence, and people were caught underneath it. One fan died on the spot, while the other died in the hospital.
Despite this, the match started as scheduled. However, in the 70th minute, it was stopped due to unrest in the stands. Spectators were throwing objects onto the field, hindering the game's progress.
The American Football Confederation expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and called this incident a tragedy.
'Colo-Colo' is the defending champion of Chile. It is worth recalling that recently, during a Peru Cup match, the player of 'Real Titan', Jelar Gonzalez Altamirano, also tragically died. During a contest against 'Defensor Nueva', Gonzalez received a severe blow to the head. After losing consciousness, he was taken to the hospital, but due to a ruptured artery in the brain, the player died two days later.
Representatives of 'Real Titan' expressed deep sorrow over this loss. They emphasized that Gonzalez will always be remembered as a devoted individual to football and a team leader who also loved his family.
