In Chile millions of people are left without power due to a massive blackout.

A massive power outage occurred in Chile
As a result of an accident on the power line in northern Chile, millions of people in the country were left without electricity. This led to the declaration of a state of emergency and the imposition of a curfew. This was reported by Ukrainian media citing Reuters.
The mentioned massive power outage is not the result of a cyberattack. It was the result of an accident on the power line. As a result of this major power outage, the affected area includes the capital of the country - Santiago, where the metro temporarily stopped operating, and passengers were evacuated from the train cars.
Many employers allowed their employees to stay home. However, due to the overload of public transport, many people were stuck in the city. To ensure safety across the country, armed forces were deployed, as reported by the Ministry of Interior.
The head of the National Coordinator of Electricity in Chile reported that there is currently no exact information about the timing of restoring electricity supply, but the situation is starting to improve in the north and south of the country.
On the same day, a power outage was also conducted for industry and business. In addition, a severe accident in the electrical grid occurred in Puerto Rico. As a result, power supply was cut off for approximately 1.3 million people.
