Deferral from mobilization during martial law
The Ministry of Justice explained how to obtain a deferral during mobilization. Representatives of certain categories are not required to serve:
- Military conscripts who have 3 children and pay alimony;
- Military conscripts who are raising children alone;
- Military conscripts who are raising children with disabilities under 18;
- Military conscripts who are raising a seriously ill child;
- Military conscripts who support an adult child with a disability of group I or II;
- Military conscripts who support an adopted child under 18;
- One spouse if the other is serving;
- Military personnel who constantly care for sick relatives;
- Guardian of a person deemed legally incompetent by the court;
- Those who have a spouse with a disability of group I, II, or III;
- Siblings, grandparents, grandchildren who care for a person with a disability of group I or II;
- Teachers, educators, scientific workers, students, and those who have been released from captivity.
An application must be submitted to the head of the commission of the district (city) TCC and SP or its department. The application must be accompanied by the necessary documents. The commission must consider the application within 7 days. If the decision is positive, a certificate for the deferral period is issued.
In case of refusal, the decision can be appealed in court.
