The meeting of the 'Coalition of the Willing' starts today in Rome - what you need to know.


Today, July 10, the meeting of the leaders of the so-called 'Coalition of the Willing' will begin in Rome, gathering for the Conference on the Restoration of Ukraine. The participants of the event focus on the security agenda and on increasing pressure on the aggressor country.

Why the meeting of the 'Coalition of the Willing' will be held in Rome
The participants of the event intend to develop joint steps regarding security guarantees for Ukraine in the context of a possible ceasefire, as well as discuss ways of further military-political support. The 'Coalition of the Willing', formed at the initiative of France and the United Kingdom, advocates for a complete and unconditional ceasefire.
During previous meetings in Kyiv in May and at the summit of the European Political Community, allies reaffirmed their readiness to invest in Ukraine's defense industry and continue security support. It should be noted that in May, another EU country expressed its desire to join the 'Coalition of the Willing.'
Meanwhile, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, met with the President of Italy in Rome and shared details of the negotiations.
Representatives of the 'Coalition of the Willing' will gather today in Rome for the Conference on the Restoration of Ukraine to discuss security issues and support for Ukraine, as well as discuss a possible ceasefire.
