The Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy considered the draft Law on the Principles of State Policy of National Memory of the Ukrainian People.
According to the press service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, this draft law aims to fully regulate issues related to the formation and implementation of state policy on national memory.
The draft contains key definitions, such as the definition of the war for Ukraine's Independence, crimes against the Ukrainian people, historical anti-Ukrainian propaganda, slavery, and others. The goal of this legislative initiative is to overcome imperial-totalitarian legacy, eliminate the influence of the aggressor state in various spheres, and strengthen the unity of the Ukrainian society.
