The martial law in Ukraine will not be canceled due to the ceasefire
According to Member of Parliament Fedir Venislavskyi, a temporary ceasefire is not sufficient grounds for lifting martial law. The threats that led to the introduction of martial law must be completely eliminated before it can be canceled.
'The mere fact of a temporary ceasefire does not eliminate the threats that served as the basis for the introduction of martial law. This does not mean that Russia has withdrawn its troops from the temporarily occupied territories or its striking capabilities, which can inflict damage on Ukraine,' emphasized Venislavskyi.
Venislavskyi also named key factors that will influence the end of martial law, including the complete withdrawal of Russian troops, the provision of reliable security guarantees, and the results of international negotiations.
At the same Time, the deputy noted that it is currently impossible to predict specific timelines for the repeal of martial law in Ukraine.
