Ukrainian fencers climbed to the podium at the World Cup in Vancouver.


The Ukrainian women's fencing team once again finished second at the World Cup in fencing held in Vancouver. This was reported by the National Fencing Federation of Ukraine.
On November 25, in the team foil events in Vancouver, the Ukrainian athletes took second place. This is the second consecutive year they have finished in the second position, exchanging the bronze from 2023 for silver in 2024. The Ukrainian athletes demonstrated a high level of skill and received corresponding awards.
In this stage, the team competitions consisted of several matches. The Ukrainian fencers successfully competed against various teams. In the round of 16, they defeated Canada with a score of 33:32, in the quarter-finals they won against Italy with a score of 34:33, and in the semifinals, they overcame the French team with a score of 38:30. In the final, they faced the Korean team, which, much like last year's bronze competition, won with a score of 45:34.
Results of the women's team foil competitions:
- First place - Republic of Korea;
- Second place - Ukraine (Joan Feibi Bezhura, Inna Brovko, Olena Kryvytska, and Anna Maksimenko);
- Third place - France.
Recall that the Ukrainian women's rapier team won silver for the first Time in history at the World Cup stage in Tunisia.
