On February 20, Russia again attacked gas infrastructure using rockets and drones, reported Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko.
According to him, the attack caused damage to production facilities. After ensuring safety, experts began assessing the damage and carrying out repair work.
The aim of these criminal attacks is to halt the extraction of gas necessary to meet the needs of the population and centralized heating. All necessary measures are currently being taken to mitigate the consequences of the attack and stabilize gas supply.
Herman Halushchenko described such actions by Russia as 'blatant terrorism':
At a Time when Russia continues to lie about not attacking public critical infrastructure, we are witnessing missiles being directed at Ukrainian gas facilities. Such actions by the enemy confirm that Russia is trying to inflict greater harm on ordinary Ukrainians despite the winter period. This is the next case of open terrorism.
Let us remind you that on the night of February 20, Russians struck cities in Ukraine. Residential buildings in Kherson and Odesa were damaged from debris and shelling.
In addition, due to a system failure, gas supply to 44 residential buildings in Mykolaiv has been interrupted.
