The mandarin season has begun in Ukraine: a review of prices in supermarkets.

Prices for mandarins in Ukraine have significantly decreased. The average price per kilogram of citrus fruits is 80.87 UAH, which is 41.33 UAH less compared to September.
According to Minfin, a 10% price drop has also been recorded in the wholesale market 'Shuvar' in Lviv over the last week - from 107.5 UAH/kg to 97.50 UAH/kg. The reason for this decrease is the onset of the harvest season in the main suppliers.
Price monitoring in retail chains showed a significant difference in the cost of citrus fruits. In the ATB chain, Turkish mandarins are sold for 82.95 UAH/kg, while clementines are priced at 71.55 UAH/kg. In the Silpo chain, prices vary from 69 UAH/kg to 199 UAH/kg.
The main suppliers of mandarins to Ukraine remain Turkey, Greece, Israel, Spain, Italy, Pakistan, and Egypt. Among Ukrainian consumers, satsuma and clementines are the most popular.
Experts predict a slight increase in mandarin prices before St. Nicholas Day due to increased demand, but do not expect significant fluctuations if supplies remain stable.
Also, it is worth noting that supermarkets have set new prices for oranges, lemons, and bananas.
