Presidential elections in Romania: preliminary results.
In the first round of presidential elections in Romania, the country's Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu receives the most votes.
According to the counting of 66% of protocols and exit poll data, Ciolacu garners 22-25% of the votes, reports Ukrainian Truth citing the Romanian service of Radio Free Europe.
After counting 66% of the protocols as of 23:00, the results are as follows:
Marcel Ciolacu – 22.62%
Kelіn Georgescu – 22.15%
Jorge Simion – 15.25%
Elena Lascu – 13.88%
Nikolae Chuke – 9.78%
According to the CIRA exit poll results, first place goes to Marcel Ciolacu (PSD) – 24.1%, followed by Elena Lascu (SEP) – 19.6%, Kelіn Georgescu (independent) – 17.1%, Jorge Simion (AUR) – 13.8%, Nikolae Chuke (NLP) – 12.7%.
The CURS exit poll results, published by Digi24, show that Ciolacu is in first place – 24.6%, followed by Lascu – 18.2%, Georgescu – 16.5%, Simion – 14%, Chuke – 13%.
The exit poll data is valid for votes cast as of 21:00 and does not include data from the diaspora.
