The wind stole Christmas. In many cities of Lithuania, the bad weather knocked down the Christmas trees.


On December 16, strong winds highlighted the worries of the residents of Lithuania, breaking Christmas trees in several cities. However, the mayor of Alytus, Nerijus Cesulis, promises to restore them after the weather calms down.
«It's not the Grinch, but the wind this Time trying to steal Christmas. When the wind calms down, we will get to work,» said the mayor of Alytus, Nerijus Cesulis.
In Klaipeda, the wind tore down decorations at the intersection of two streets and destroyed a large garland. There are also dangers posed by tilted advertising stands, as reported by firefighters.
The city of Pidvolochysk in the Ternopil region has also come under criticism for its main Christmas tree. However, the local authorities decided to replace it with a new one after the outrage of local residents.
Initially, the authorities set up a modest Christmas tree near the cultural center, but its appearance sparked criticism due to the lack of decorations. Now the new tree delights the eyes of the residents of Pidvolochysk.
In the city of Ukrainka in Kyiv region, the New Year decorations installed in the central square have also caused outrage. The fence around the Christmas tree was adorned with images of Russian cartoons and characters of Grandfather Frost and Snegurochka.
