Zelensky held a Staff meeting and is preparing for negotiations with Trump.


President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the citizens on the occasion of the 1099th day of war. He announced the holding of a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff, international negotiations, and a meeting with the President of the United States.
At the meeting, they discussed the Ukrainian production of drones and the volumes of international support. The President emphasized the need to defend Ukrainian positions to ensure peace in the country.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported on the situation at the front and the Kursk operation. Zelensky noted the soldiers in Donetsk, particularly the 33rd and 225th assault brigades. He also thanked the fighters of the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade, who have been holding the buffer zone in the Kursk region of Russia for the seventh month.
Turning to international activities, Zelensky noted that teams are working with America and preparing for negotiations. He emphasized the importance of American assistance and support for the Ukrainian state.
The President also spoke about his conversation with the Prime Minister of Portugal and the importance of European countries' involvement in diplomatic efforts regarding Europe.
In conclusion, Zelensky signed decrees honoring military and civilian persons, particularly combat medic Iryna Tsybukh, who fought for Ukraine. He stressed the importance of the right of Ukrainians to live on their own land.
