The military explained that the decisions were made to reduce tension in society. They were formalized according to established procedures and sent to military units for use. This means that specific details are not disclosed.
Military management bodies refrain from commenting on issues related to the implementation of tasks and reporting information. They indicated that such measures are taken to prevent the enemy from assessing our resources and plans by expanding access to information about the staffing of units.
It was also reminded that every citizen aged 18 to 60 has the right to voluntarily join the troops.
Let us recall that the Ministry of Defense has tripled the mobilization targets.
It was previously reported that the conscription of healthy men aged 18 to 25 has been stopped. Currently, mobilization is possible only with written consent.
Members of the Rada Committee on National Security, Intelligence, and Defense appealed to the General Staff with a proposal to reduce the minimum conscription age from 25 to 20 years. However, the General Staff stated that there is currently no need for such a reduction.
