In a conversation with journalists from the publication 'Glavkom', he also emphasized the moral difficulties of his work.
«It is really difficult. A lot depends on the conditions in which I work. If a prisoner came to the studio, it would be easier. But I am constantly forced to go somewhere, wait, choose angles. This complicates the process. In addition, I know almost nothing about these people, so every time before recording, I have to communicate with them. This takes a lot of time and energy. I devote whole days to this work», - Zolkin explained.
According to him, before he used to do up to five interviews a day, and now he has managed to reduce their number to two. Zolkin also noted that after filming conversations, it is difficult for him to pick up the phone and talk to someone or just read something.
Changes in Russians under the influence of Russian propaganda
Worldwide, blogger Volodymyr Zolkin became known for his interviews with Russian captives during the war in Donbas. According to his observations, the interest in conversations with captured Russians and their relatives does not decrease and continues to be very high. In his interview, Zolkin talked about the changes that have occurred in Russians over three years of war with Ukraine.
