Activist of 'Right Sector' received 8.5 years in prison for treason.
Activist of 'Right Sector' Valentyn Lipinskyi was sentenced to 8.5 years in prison for treason. He began cooperating with the Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB) long before the invasion. Lipinskyi gave an interview to journalist Volodymyr Zolkin about his actions.
According to Lipinskyi, he joined 'Right Sector' after the Revolution of Dignity. But when his friend Ihor was detained with grenades in his backpack, he received three years in prison for illegal possession of weapons. Ihor managed to leave Ukraine, and Valentyn later learned that his friend was being held in a Russian prison for extremism. Ihnat approached Valentyn, suggesting that he cooperate with the FSB.
Later, Lipinskyi was offered to make money by photographing a military unit. He took pictures of the parking lot, checkpoint, and dormitory, but did not realize that he could be prosecuted for such photos. For one of the photographs, he received 600 hryvnias. It turned out that Ihnat worked with the FSB and was offering Lipinskyi collaboration. However, Valentyn rejected this proposal.
Despite the refusal, Lipinskyi was detained by the Security Service of Ukraine. He understands that he made a mistake but refused to exchange with Russia. His family defends Ukraine, but Lipinskyi is imprisoned, and he feels very sorry about this.
Security Service of Ukraine exposed FSB's agent network, which planned terrorist attacks on railways.
It is worth noting that over the past two years, the Security Service of Ukraine has discovered 93 Russian agent networks. Among them were deputies and military personnel.
