Analysts named the reasons for the advancement of Russians in Donetsk region.

Russian troops are actively moving towards Pokrovske due to a number of factors, such as the insufficient staffing of Ukrainian brigades and the terrain. This is evidenced by a report from the Institute for the Study of War. In particular, it is noted that Russian troops continue to advance in the Pokrovske area, especially northwest of Avdiivka.
Russian troops continue to steadily advance in the Pokrovske direction largely due to the lack of Ukrainian manpower and the terrain directly northwest of Avdiivka.
However, experts predict a slowdown in the Russian offensive operation, as they are approaching larger and more urbanized settlements.
Ukrainian military experts noted that the defense forces in the Pokrovske direction have poorer equipment and protection means, so currently they cannot slow down the advancement of the Russians.
According to their statements, delays in the provision of Western, particularly American, military aid have led to delays in the equipping of newly established Ukrainian units and the re-equipping of those that have already participated in battles.
At the same Time, the Institute for the Study of War notes that Russia is actively using these shortcomings to achieve tactical advantages northwest of Avdiivka, especially in the area of the Ocheretyne – Hrodivka – Mirnograd road and on the left bank of the Vovcha River.
Notably, Russian invaders continue to expand the zone of control near Svatove, Chasiv Yar, and Klishchiivka.
As previously reported, Russian invaders captured the settlement of Vesele in the Donetsk region, which is located east of Hrodivka in the Pokrovske district.
