Biden publicly criticized the Trump administration for the first time.
After leaving office, Joe Biden made his first public statements criticizing Donald Trump's administration. He noted that it caused significant harm and destruction in less than 100 days of its operation.
During the 2025 Conference of Advocates, Consultants, and Representatives of People with Disabilities (ACRD), Biden expressed his astonishment at how much negative impact the new officials had managed to create. He noted that the Social Security Administration's website is not functioning because they have cut staff.
“In less than 100 days, this new administration has caused so much harm and so much destruction. It is simply staggering.”
For Biden, it is important to protect the social security system, as some Democrats plan to protest against the proposed cuts to the program. He emphasized that this program is of great significance to many people and must be defended.
