The Humanitarian Demining Center has purchased services for clearing a large agricultural plot for the first Time, dividing it into two separate lots.According to the Ministry of Economy, the first area for which two separate auctions were held covers more than 600 hectares of land in the Kharkiv region. It belongs to the Yuriev Institute of Plant Production of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences.'These are the first auctions where we split one area into several auctions. This approach allows us to attract a larger number of operators, increase competition, and most importantly, expedite the demining of large areas. A total of 5 operators participated in both auctions, competing fiercely to the last moment. In one of the auctions, we had a price reduction of almost 3.5 times,' said the Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Igor Bezkaravainy. The total area of the plot is 605 hectares. It is contaminated with unexploded explosive devices, anti-vehicle mines, and cluster munitions.'We are now verifying whether the potential winner meets the necessary conditions. At the same time, there is already noticeable significant interest in such lots. I hope that during the next similar auctions, we will see even more participants and new winners,' said the head of the Humanitarian Demining Center Volodymyr Baida.During this auction, the Humanitarian Demining Center conducted an effective and competitive process for clearing a large agricultural plot in the Kharkiv region, allowing to accelerate the process and attract more participants in the future.
