Can Trump run for a third term - The Hill.

In statements made by President Trump and his allies, a question arose about the possibility of a third presidential term, disregarding the constitutional prohibition.
Typically, most presidents have adhered to the tradition of not participating in more than two elections, notes reporter Jared Gans at The Hill.
Although some have tried to run for a third term, none have succeeded except Franklin Roosevelt, who won four terms during the Great Depression and World War II. However, after Republicans came to Congress, a resolution was passed to limit presidential terms.
Law professor Brian Kalt points out that while the 22nd Amendment prohibits running for a third term, there are possible conflicting interpretations as it does not state that someone cannot become president for a third Time.
President Trump reiterated his intention to run for a third term during a meeting with representatives of the Republican Party and asked Speaker Mike Johnson about it.
Congressman Andy Ogles proposes an amendment to the Constitution that would allow Trump to run for the next term but not his predecessors who served two terms.
Although there are various viewpoints on this matter, the chances of this amendment passing appear almost zero due to the high threshold for its adoption and the contentiousness of the issue.
