Torture and Murders in Bozhkov Colony: SBI Discloses Criminal Organized Group.

System of Torture Discovered in the Colony
The State Bureau of Investigations has uncovered a large-scale system of torture and murders in the prison 'Bozhkov Correctional Colony (No. 16)'. It has been established that the colony's staff organized torture and brutally killed prisoners.
'From the first day of staying in the colony, newcomers experienced inhumane treatment. They were forced to clean the floor under video recording, and if they refused, they were brutally beaten with hands, feet, and rubber batons,' reported the SBI.
Investigations have documented numerous cases of torture, including the fact that more than 200 blows were inflicted on one of the convicts. Victims of the abuse included almost all newcomers to the prison, and the death of one prisoner due to bodily injuries has been recorded.
Five officials of the colony have been suspected of committing crimes related to organized groups and torture. The group leader is also accused of intentional serious bodily injury, for which a sentence of up to 10 years of imprisonment is envisaged.
The investigation is being conducted by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine. The State Bureau of Investigations continues its systematic work to detect and stop instances of torture in prisons.
