OSUV "Khortytsia" withdrew units from Vuhleadar
OSUV "Khortytsia" officially confirmed the withdrawal of Defense Forces units from the city of Vuhleadar on October 2, 2024. The enemy tried to capture Vuhleadar by conducting flank attacks and threatening to encircle the city. In this regard, a decision was made to withdraw the units to preserve personnel and combat equipment. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported a difficult situation at the front, where numerous combat clashes and shelling of settlements occurred over the past day. Defense Forces continue to conduct operations not only in Vuhleadar but also in the Kursk region, where the enemy carried out airstrikes and suffered losses in personnel and equipment.
